The Building
Willard's Rooms
Willard has the second largest and some of the best furnished rooms on campus, and a great atmosphere. Some of the features include dressers, walk-in closets, desks with built in lights, and ceiling lights (take that, Bobb!). If you need further proof our glory, check out the Willard Floor Plans!
Note: The floor plans are from when the building was first constructed, so some dimensions and names are different now.
Willard's Facilities
Willard is unquestionably one of the best-funded residences on campus, so naturally it has some of the best, nicest facilities. They were renovated in 2003 and got new furniture Fall 2010.
Basement

The Rat Trap
Willard's student lounge, known fondly as the Rat Trap, is host to munchies, firesides, guest speakers, and dances throughout the year. The Rat Trap is decked out with a built-in high tech multimedia system, including a DVD projector and automated screen. Attached to the Rat Trap is a smaller lounge often used for meetings, study groups, and music practice - we call it the Mouse Trap. Willard members can request to reserve the Rat or Mouse Trap by contacting the Willard Secretary.

The Kitchen
Our kitchen comes complete with fridge, stove, oven, and microwave. Perfect for preparing munchies to be served in the Rat Trap, or making baked goods for fundraisers.
Willard Dining Hall & Fran's Café
Willard's basement is also home to our very own dining hall. Newly renovated in the summer of 2010, the dining hall is proud to provide the only "restaurant-style" dining experience on campus. With made to order entrées, the Willard dining hall is unlike nearly every other; just step into the cozy and elegant atmosphere, grab a seat by the fire (or our soon-to-be-open outdoor patio), and see for yourself! Plus, the food ain't too shabby either... And don't forget to make friends with Eleanor, Josephine, Terrance, Patrick, and Joel- they might do you a favor one day. Check out the Willard Dining Hall webpage to find out hours of operation and what's on the menu for today.
After 8PM, however, the dining hall magically transforms into Fran's Café, serving up only the most delicious flatbreads, wraps, salads, grilled cheeses, and other culinary wonders into the wee hours of the morning.

Convenience Store
Located adjacent to the dining hall is our exceptionally convenient convenience store! While you might not want to do all of your grocery shopping here, but it's perfect for when you just gotta have another pack of Oreos (or Kleenex, or Ben & Jerry's, or laundry detergent, or "assorted fish").
First Floor
The Common Room
Throughout the year, Willard's spacious common room plays host to surfeit of student uses, from meetings and social events on its roomy couches to late night practices for (sometimes self-proclaimed) piano virtuosos. The common room is graced by a variety of hideous alumni-donated paintings and a flattering portrait of Frances Willard. Willard members can request to reserve the Common Room by contacting the Willard Secretary.
The Library
Adjoined to the common room, the library is home to a meagre collection of overused and underappreciated obscure reference tomes, copies of modern magazines, and a set of handy wooden tables perfect for late night study sessions (and games of Cranium). Willard members can request to reserve the Library by contacting the Willard Secretary.
The Game Room
The game room is home to a pool table and a TV with assorted videogames. Willard members can request to reserve the Game Room by contacting the Willard Secretary.
The Mail Room
The first floor is also home to the mail room. Every room has a locked mailbox for incoming campus and standard post mail; incoming packages are available for pickup (with a package slip) whenever the mailroom is open. In addition, outgoing campus and Post Office mail can be sent out of the mail room (although packages need to be sent from the actual Post Office).
Second Floor

The Study Lounge (or Slounge)
Does your roommate have a passion for metal music? Do they blast the D-Day scene of Saving Private Ryan on their 7-speaker stereo system on a weekly basis? Do quiet hours on your floor fall when everyone's sleeping - between 5 AM and noon? Don't sweat it, because there's always a calm nook in Willard's "inside voices" study lounge. This is the perfect place to finally concentrate on that paper, or prep for that orgo exam.
Third Floor

The TV Lounge
Willard's cozy TV lounge is home to weekly cult TV show binges, student film screenings, and Fall and Winter Quarter movie nights. The TV lounge is accoutred with a nice LCD TV, a VCR and cable, and a well-used DVD player. You can reserve the TV lounge for your favorite show or a movie party - just tape a note to the door a few days in advance. Note that the picture above is outdated- the TV has a stand now, and the room got new furniture in Fall 2010 along with the other common spaces.
Fourth Floor

The Computer Lounge
Most Willard residents have their own computers these days, But for those dreaded moments, like the late night crash before that twenty page paper is due, or when you just have to play Text Twist, but your network connection isn't working and everyone on NUIT is sleeping, Willard has a computer lab with a Mac, a PC, and printers (please provide your own paper), the maintainance of which is the responsibility of the Computer Chair. And students on the upper floors often use the Computer Lounge as a paper and pencil study spot, when the trip down to the Slounge or Library is too arduous.
Fifth Floor

The Laundry Room
The fifth floor is the home of Willard's laundry room. Featuring 7 washers and 8 dryers, the Laundry Room is often busy with Willardites doing their wash. The laundry room has recently been updated with a system that allows you to use Munch Money to pay for your laundry, and allows you to check the status of the machines from the comfort of your computer. We also recently got high-efficiency washers, so bring HE detergent! Common courtesy is to move your laundry out of the washers and dryers soon after it is done.
